Sanibel Island

Today we had to get an early start.  If you know Cool Pa, this can be an issue.  BUT NOT TODAY, he rolled out like a trooper.  I drove, he slept.  We did well.  We were up late last night, waiting for son Dylan to catch up with us.  We spent the night in Lake City Florida.  Dylan arrived around midnight. I can't be more exact as I crashed even though I was trying to stay up.  

We made Sanibel around 4PM.

I put this one in for my sister.  We normally call each other as we pass over the bridge to Sanibel.  I knew she was up early traveling home and did not want to disturb her.  She knows right where I took it.  I wish she was here!

We finally turned in on Camino Del Mar

We were greeted by brother Moose.  He helped us get the car unpacked.  That was no small feat.  Seems we had lots of stuff.    Our Condo is Oceans Reach.  My family has been coming here since 1996.

Cool Pa and I get everything put away, made a grocery list and headed to Baileys on Tarpon Bay Road

We loaded up on fruit, turkey from the deli, olives, pickles, bagels, milk and some cheese.   We have eaten out the last three meals and crave something lighter.

We are now settled in.  It is like being home.  We have a bedroom where we can close the door.  This will be great as I am a super early bird.  Hello 5:45 am with a smile and some coffee.  Cool Pa, can stay up late while I snooze.  We don't have to pack and unpack the car.

Hoping to talk someone into going out for breakfast tomorrow.  My brother Moose and Dylan are both early risers...you never know.   We are planning on sitting on the beach all day tomorrow.
