Sanibel Island - The Yin, The Yang and The Golden Hour

It is 5:00 am.  I have slept like a baby.  When my eyes opened this morning I was awake, wide awake at first flutter.  This is the sign of an awesome day.  After having been sick for so many months, it is always such a good thing to wake up and feel your slumber has shaved a few years off your age.  It is the golden bit of the day from 5am- 8 am when you are on vacation at the beach.  I love it's quietness.  The patio is invaded only by the sounds of the waves, mixed with the sounds of palm fronds shaking in the wind.  It is still dark out, but that will change soon.  I have coffee, a perfect cup, well crafted and welcomed.   This is the Yin to this post.

When I woke this morning, I found  Cool Pa sound asleep on the couch.  I could tell by scattered debris and notes on small pieces of paper that CP had found his golden hour too.  He is a true night owl.  It is in his DNA as soundly as morning is in mine.   Two people could not be on more contrasting circadian rhythms.  This is the Yang to this post.

(Of course Cool Pa no longer has to deal with the Alarm Clock Police)

That is the great thing about the beach, it is always open. You turn off the clock and flow with your own time.  Thanks to our accommodations CP and I can be who we are.  As Keb Mo says...life is beautiful! (at the beach)
